Trad Hunters Magazine Submission Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in contributing to Trad Hunters Magazine! We’re always on the lookout for captivating stories and high-quality photos that celebrate the spirit of traditional bowhunting. Whether you’re sharing a personal hunting adventure, archery tips, or a historical reflection, we welcome your voice in our community.

Story Submissions

We’re seeking written content for both our print magazine and online distribution. Ideal submissions include:

• Hunting Adventures: Share a memorable experience, emphasizing traditional bowhunting techniques.
• Tips & Techniques: Provide insight on improving skills or field preparation.
• Historical Features: Articles on influential figures, events, or milestones in traditional archery.
• Community Stories: Highlight unique individuals or groups contributing to traditional bowhunting.

Submission Details:

• Length: Up to 2,500 words for print; 500–1,200 words for online exclusives.
• Format: Submit your story in Word (.docx) or PDF format.
• Editing: Submissions will be edited for clarity, grammar, and style. By submitting, you grant us permission to make necessary edits.

Photo Guidelines

We’re excited to feature your photos! Whether they accompany a story or stand alone, here are the requirements:

• Resolution: Minimum of 300dpi for print quality.
• Format: JPEG or PNG.
• Subject: High-quality photos of traditional bowhunters in action or scenic hunting environments.
• Harvest Photos: Proud of your success? Send us your harvest photos for a chance to be featured on:
• Social media (Facebook and Instagram)
• The Trad Hunters website
• Print issues of Trad Hunters Magazine
• Photo Modifications: We reserve the right to modify photos to align with the retro style of Trad Hunters Magazine.

How to Submit

• Subject Line: Use “Story Submission: [Your Title]” or “Photo Submission: [Your Name]” for easy sorting.
• Attachments: Include your story and/or photos as separate attachments.
• Details: For photos, include the following in your email:
• Your namer
• The location of the photo
• A brief description of the moment captured

Rights and Usage

By submitting, you agree to allow Trad Hunters Magazine to publish your work across print, online, and social media platforms. Credit will always be given to the author/photographer. Additionally, Trad Hunters Magazine reserves the right to modify photos to suit the publication’s retro aesthetic.
